Fishing Charters
From the shallow flats of the Intracoastal to the deep blue waters of the Gulf Stream, Northeast Florida delivers world-class fishing for anglers of every skill level.
Charter Types
Choose from three distinct fishing experiences, each offering unique species, waters, and adventure levels.
Inshore Charters
Fish the sheltered waters of the Intracoastal Waterway, tidal creeks, and river systems. Inshore fishing offers calm conditions and incredible action targeting species that thrive in Northeast Florida's expansive estuaries and marshes.
- Sight-fishing on shallow flats
- Light tackle and fly fishing options
- Calm waters ideal for beginners and families
- Fish year-round in protected waterways
Target Species
Nearshore Charters
Venture just offshore to target hard-fighting species around reefs, wrecks, and structure within a few miles of the coast. Nearshore trips offer the best of both worlds: bigger fish without the long run offshore.
- Reef and wreck fishing for variety
- Live bait and artificial lure techniques
- Seasonal tarpon runs along the beach
- Short run from the inlet for more fishing time
Target Species
Offshore Charters
Head to the deep blue for big game fishing. Northeast Florida's offshore waters offer access to the Gulf Stream and deep ledges where pelagic species cruise. This is trophy fishing at its finest.
- Gulf Stream access for pelagic species
- Deep-dropping for snapper and grouper
- Trolling for mahi-mahi and wahoo
- Full-day and half-day offshore options

Seasonal Fishing Guide
Northeast Florida offers productive fishing year-round, but each season brings different species and opportunities.
Spring (Mar - May)
Redfish, Sheepshead, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Tarpon (late May)
Warming waters bring baitfish and hungry predators. Excellent inshore and nearshore action.
Summer (Jun - Aug)
Mahi-Mahi, Kingfish, Tarpon, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Flounder
Peak offshore season with calm seas. Tarpon running the beaches. Hot inshore bite early and late.
Fall (Sep - Nov)
Redfish (bull reds), Flounder, Speckled Trout, Wahoo, Grouper
Many anglers' favorite season. Bull redfish run, fall flounder migration, and cooling water fires up the bite.
Winter (Dec - Feb)
Sheepshead, Black Drum, Trout, Flounder, Wahoo
Cooler weather thins crowds but fishing stays productive. Great sheepshead and trout action inshore.
